As you may be aware, Microsoft recently released an update to the Teams for Mac desktop application, which introduced a bug where some users (not all) receive a prompt that the Teams application is damaged and cannot be opened. Last week, Microsoft acknowledged the issue but has yet to release a patch.
In the meantime, we have developed a fix which, in our testing, resolves the issue. If you are not experiencing this issue, you need not take action. If MacTechs has previously connected with your computer to apply this fix manually, you also won't need to take action.
If, however, you are experiencing this issue, please launch Managed Software Center and locate the Microsoft Teams item on the front page. Click the Install button and allow 2 minutes to complete. You may see unrelated updates listed, in addition to Teams. As always, please install all updates listed in Managed Software Center.
Thank you for your patience while we address this pesky issue. Please contact MacTechs via ServiceDesk if you have any questions or would like a hand with anything.
