If you are a Revu user, please take a moment to review a few important best practices to ensure the smoothest possible experience when using Revu. If you are experiencing issues, please reach out to MacTechs via ServiceDesk. Thanks!
Log Off When finished working in Revu for the day (or if moving between home and office), exit the Revu application, then select the orange Logoff icon on the Windows desktop. This will properly end your Windows session and close the Remote Desktop window. Do not leave a Windows session running overnight. Do not quit your Windows session by using the Quit Remote Desktop option. Choosing the Logoff icon will do this for you.
You may leave your Remote Desktop session active during the day as you move between Revu and other tasks. Just be sure to return to your Windows session and log off at the end of your work day. Do not leave a Windows session running for prolonged periods such as overnight.
Access the File Server Directly from Windows Initially, transfer folders were created to allow the movement of files between your Mac and your Windows session. Now, all users have direct access to the file server from Windows.
Please discontinue the use of transfer folders and instead access the file server from within Windows as shown below. If you have local files on your Mac, please move them to the file server for access from Windows. Please take a moment to disable your transfer folder. To do so, launch Microsoft Remote Desktop. Right-click on Revu Server and choose Edit. From the Folders tab, ensure Redirect Folders is not checked, as shown here:
