When performing the Ventura upgrade, certain computers may require an additional step.
If you receive the above error, please click OK, then choose the Details option in the lower left. When prompted, choose Restore Defaults. Then quit the System Preferences application. Return to Step 2 of the instructions and click the link to download Ventura.
If you receive the above notification, please ensure there are no pending updates in Managed Software Center. If you are remote, your computer must have an active Viscosity connection for this step.
Launch Managed Software Center (in the Applications folder). Click the Updates tab and press the COMMAND and R keys on your keyboard to check for updates. Apply all available updates, if any.
When all updates are complete, restart your computer.
Since you've already downloaded the Ventura installer, you need not do this again. Navigate to your Applications folder and double-click Install macOS Ventura. The installer should now run.
